Mr. Amos Andama
Board Chairperson

Mr. Andama is a distinguished Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, having been admitted to the bar in the year 2016. He is also a proud member of the Law Society of Kenya.

Executive Director & Secretary to the Board

Mr. Oyugi is a Lawyer by profession and holds a Diploma in NGO Management as well. He is a Human Rights Defender who has championed for human rights, good governance, and democracy for over 16 years.

Ms. Inviolate holds a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work from the African Institute of Research and Development Studies.

Director in charge of Programs Coordination

Ms. Irene Mukalo holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University and a Master of Education for Sustainable Development from London South Bank University.

Director in charge of Programs Implementation

Ms. Wilkister Juma is a Bachelor of Education (Business Studies and Economics) graduate from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She also holds a Professional Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from Kenya Institute of Management.

Director in charge of Finance & Accounts

Mr. Anangwe holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Egerton University and a Master of Science in Finance (MSc Finance) from the University of Nairobi. He is both a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, CPA (K), and a Certified Public Secretary, CPS (K)

As indicated above, Commoner Concerns Centre has clearly separated powers of Governance and Management; comprising of the Board and the Secretariat. The Board of Directors is the Governing Body that oversight the functions of the office of the Executive Director (the Secretariat). It consists of eight (8) members, led by a chairperson. It is in charge of all affairs of the Organisation which include: Monitoring the activities; Approving budgets for project activities as required; and Leading in discussing the Organisation’s performance issues.
