Mr. Polycarp Otieno Onyango has previously worked as a Communications Specialist for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). He was the communication lead for the Bio-Innovate Africa Project, the PLs, local research partners, and universities in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, managing Social Media and outreach to International Media and in-country media to create local demand and awareness of the nine innovations of Bio-Innovate Africa.
He worked as a Senior Communications Officer for African Development Solutions (adeso). He was the Communication Lead to the USAID-Funded (USD 45 million Project) Resilience and Economic Growth in the Arid Lands – Improving Resilience.
He worked as a Communications Advisor at Oxfam providing communication support to the three county offices (Turkana, Wajir, Daadab, and Nairobi Office)
He worked as a Country Communications Officer for PATH, providing communication support to PATH programs in Kenya and backstop media officers in APHIA 2 Western and Nyanza, and offered communication support to projects including the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (global project), Healthcare Waste Management (national), and APHIA 11 Western and Nyanza.
He worked as a Publications Officer for Arid Lands (ALIN-EA).
