MISSION

To take a leading role in advocating and promoting: both National and County Government policies; laws and practices that uphold and protect basic human rights devoid of any form of discrimination; and to take the law to the people through Legal Aid Clinics with a view of offering Legal Aid Services, especially to the most vulnerable and marginalized, besides enlightening the public on their basic human rights as enshrined both in the domestic and public international laws.

CORE VALUES

The five (5) Core Values that guide the organisation are:

    1. Servant and shepherd leadership– This is a virtue that is held by the Organisation, both internally and externally, bearing in mind that our activities revolves around dealing directly with individuals and groups from different backgrounds at all times;
    2. Honesty and Transparency– This is our main guide as we engage with different stakeholders who include: the government (both at the National and County level), the donor community, peer groups, communities from the grassroots to the national level, other organisations who share our vision, mission and values, among others;
    3. Equity and Justice– We observe this virtue when dealing with all individuals and groups, regardless of their standing in society. We also mandate ourselves to ensure that the government observes the same as enshrined both in the national and international laws;
    4. Teamwork and Participation Management– It is the backbone that drives any serious organisation. In its absence, the objects of any organisation cannot be easily achieved. We are guided by this spirit internally and always strive to instil it to the various groups that we deal with, especially at the grassroots level. The ripple effect leads to the realisation of the organisation’s vision;
    5. Mutual Respect, Humility and Good Behaviour– The three are highly fundamental to us and we always look forward to achieving them by recognizing the innate worth of all people and the value of diversity.
