Project Coordinators

The strength, life span, and achievements of any organization is subject to the foundation upon which it was set up. In the case of Commoner Concerns Centre, the coordinators are the oil that keeps the organisation’s engine in continuous motion, ensuring the achievement of access to justice by the marginalised. Their legal background and ability to reach out and blend easily with community members at the grassroots level makes Commoner the most sought after organization by the indigents within the areas where we carry out our activities/ programs.

Acting as our foot soldiers, the coordinators are the first contact whenever there is any report touching on human rights abuses/ violations. In addition, they are the first port of call for those seeking legal aid. Thus, the objective of having these coordinators on the ground is to: remove barriers to access to justice among the target groups, empower the community to have the capacity to refer cases of human rights violations, and build the capacity of communal justice systems to operate effectively and efficiently.
