Ms. Teresa Abel is a Researcher and Public Policy specialist with a robust background in evidence-based advocacy across global, national, county, and organizational levels. She earned her BA in Development Studies with IT from Maseno University and is currently completing her Master’s in Research and Public Policy at Egerton University.
With strong skills in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL), Teresa excels in project management and is committed to working with youth, communities, and diverse stakeholders to promote peace and security. She prioritizes people-centered approaches to foster empowerment, inclusivity, and trust, aiming to build community resilience, support good governance, and enhance overall security.
Teresa has contributed to the Global Youth Empowerment and Engagement Program (YEEP) Kenya, organized by the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Center (UNCCT) through the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), in collaboration with the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Kenya and the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), focusing on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE).
